Our programs focus on the physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being of the people who choose to participate.
The Salvation Army’s Adult Rehabilitation Centers are 180-day residential work-therapy programs providing spiritual, social, and emotional assistance to people who have lost the ability to cope with their problems and provide for themselves.
The program is generally provided without charge to the participants once the Center staff has determined that the program can appropriately address the needs of the applicant (insurance is not necessary). Other minimum requirements include the following:

CHURCH OF GOD CHILDREN’S HOME – CONCORD, NC
Our home provides a positive and safe living environment for kids who have spent their lives in less than suitable environments where they were left untended, abused, neglected, and at risk for falling into dangerous lifestyles. We work 24/7 to meet the physical, mental, social, and spiritual needs of hurting children. Our mission has always been to see them grow in maturity and their ability to make decisions that will lead them to be productive citizens.
THE RELATIVES – CHARLOTTE, NC
Youth ages 7-17 who need a safe place to stay because they have run away from home, are homeless, or are in transition under the care of the Department of Social Services. For up to 21 days, youth have a safe place to go where they and their families can work on the issues that brought them to our Youth Crisis Center. Most youth stay less than eight days because staff members work hard to put plans in place to keep families on track. Nine kids can stay at a time and everyone is expected to work hard on their problems, take care of the house, and help each other stay safe.
We provide residential shelter care, food, counseling, education, skill building, case management, outreach, follow-up and referral services that focus on positive youth development. Services provided to youth and families in Gaston, Cleveland, Lincoln, Mecklenburg, Stanly, Iredell, and Union Counties.
